I don’t own a mac but I do own an apple iPod touch and have been amazed at all the things it could do.  I resisted buying one for the longest time because they are pricey compared to what is available.  Now that I have one, I have extremely happy with it and literally use it everyday.

At times I do wish it was larger and there have been many rumors over that past year or two, that a larger iPod touch would be made in the form of a tablet.  Still don’t know if it is true, but lately the rumors have been increasing.  There is now a rumor that an announcement will be made.  I definitely want to get one, but price will be the biggest factor in my decision to buy one now or wait for then next generation of them to come out in a year.  Just look at the iPhones and remember how far and how fast they fell in prices.

January 27 has been circled on the calendars of Apple Tablet enthusiasts for a couple of weeks as a potential launch date for the long rumored device, and now it’s confirmed that Apple will be holding an event next Wednesday to show off its “latest creation.”

The event will take place at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theater in San Francisco, and at this point, if anything other than the Apple Tablet (potentially named iSlate) is revealed, it would be a bigger surprise than the Tablet itself. Nonetheless, we eagerly await the specs of the device, as well as learning its price, most recently rumored to be in the $1,000 range.
