Today was another good day. My brother and his wife drove into town with my mom. I had just seen her a couple of weeks ago, when my sister and her family came for a visit. So much had change since then.
We went to go eat lunch together, so I already knew this would be a challenge. But instead of focusing on the things I couldn’t change, I decided just to focus on the solution. I ate my non-animal food at home before I met up with them. They had decided to just go to the local Mcdonald’s. I wasn’t hungry but looked just the same at the menu. I realized my perception had changed dramatically. There was only one thing I could eat if I was hungry and that would have been the walnut and apple salad which is just an apple and a few walnuts thrown in together. Not a real meal but more like a snack. This McD’s was actually a food court so I checked out the other restaurants to see what was on the menu. Funny thing is everything looked unappealing to me now. What a difference a couple weeks make.
The visit was good and I enjoyed seeing my family. My brother showed me his latest toys. He had a dell laptop with the intel i7 chip. It was very nice and had a built in broadband modem. Then he showed me his latest phone which was the android x htc phone. That toy was very impressive. It had all the bells and whistles on it. I checked out the 8 megapixel camera on it and took some photos, then did a quick internet search. It was very fast. Then my brother showed me a video call from phone to phone with some app on it but the name escapes me. The quality was good and reminded me of the skype video calls that I made but only on a phone. The touch screen was extremely responsive and better than the ipod touch i had with me. Another thing I noticed is his smartphone could multitask. It rang while I was surfing on the net and allowed him to take the call and still surf.

Just a couple of weeks on meatless diet! You’ll be fine, my friend. Just do it! I mean, don’t look. hahaha!
