What a nice 3 day weekend. The weather is cooling down from the summer highs. They have the US Tennis Open on regular TV and I watched all the preliminary matches with online streaming. Seems like I do more watching online now than TV. I don’t even have cable TV anymore, so I just get HDTV antennae channels over the air. Honestly, there isn’t very much good television to watch anyways.

What’s more surprising this weekend is there are no MMA events.  UFC has saturated the market so much that I expect to see something whether it is UFC, TUF, or WEC.  Then you figure HDnet has something or Showtime with Strikeforce.  I guess it really doesn’t matter much since there seems to be more fixed fights and I haven’t been watching them in over a month.

I did hear about the Pacquiao vs Margarito fight announced.  Everyone expects Pacquiao to win but I think there will be an upset.  Margarito throws a lot of punches for that weight class and has a strong chin.   I will pick Margarito to win that fight and depending on the odds I might actually cast a wager online. Hopefully, the mega fight Pacquiao vs Mayweather materializes next year.
