Gray hair turning back to black?

Posted on Sep 8, 2010 by CHESSNOID in Vegan | 3 Comments

This is weird. I noticed it recently but thought it was just more of my eyes playing tricks on me. I have changed what I eat in my diet and it seems like my gray hair is turning back to black. I wasn’t sure what to think except it might just be my imagination. I mentioned it to my wife and she said it is noticeable.

No, I am not going to take pictures. I still have plenty of gray hairs but if it turns completely back to black naturally, I will be in awe. I am not sure what it is in my diet that is causing this. I thought it might also be from the complete avoidance of animal proteins. I suspect it might be from the increased green foods I am consuming in my vegan diet.

I did google it to see if anyone else experienced it. Amazingly, some people did and a famous raw food lady Ann Wigmore talked about it. People drank wheat grass which I have not done. Now I am thinking about doing it.

Hi! You will have to tell us your secret. It can’t just be the greens can it?

Or, is this another case of, “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.”

    Take Care,
    Peter

    Hi Peter,
It definitely isn’t like the movie Benjamin Button. I am not sure what is causing it. If I had to guess, it would be a combination of avoiding all animal products including dairy and eggs with the eating of more leafy greens including seaweed.
I did some research and some people were able to get results using wheat grass on a regular basis. I haven’t had any of that so for me it must be something else.
    Thanks for stopping by. Cheers!
I do think it is still to early to confirm

Egg whites and antibiotics deplete your body of Biotin which plays some role in hair thickness and color. Also seaweed contains lots of nutrients that may reverse graying of hair. Not sure what its rich in. Edgar Cayce recommended crude oil for gray hair…algae is in crude oil…so its got to be something in the seaweed / algae. Maybe vitamin B5, and some trace minerals…copper…vandiaum…maybe.
