Prepaid cellphone plans-Samsung Android phone

Posted on Nov 9, 2010 by CHESSNOID in Android, Cell phones, gadgets | 1 Comments

I talked about the Samsung android phone last month on the virgin mobile prepaid plan that was retailing at $249.  Skimming the slickdeals site, someone posted you are able to buy this phone at radioshack for $199 and with a coupon possibly for $189.  That is a $50-$60 price drop in just over a month.

Samsung Intercept for Virgin Mobile $199.99 @ RadioShack B&M, $189.99 with $10/40 coupon

You can probably get a pricematch at bestbuy or target, too.  Anyways, it wouldn’t surprise me if this phone was at the $100 mark in 6 months to  a year.  I would guess as newer and more  android phones are released on this carrier, the prices will go down accordingly.  I have had 4 phones on the virgin mobile prepaid plan and have used them for the last 7 years because of their lowest plan pricing.  I sold the old phones on ebay and will probably do the same with my current shuttle phone in the future.

Again, what makes virgin mobile a standout is the unlimited web and text at $25 a month with 300 minutes.

The best prepaid plan out there is Tracfone. I used Virgin before and just had coverage issues all over.
