Obama trolls

I still occasionally receive trolls on my site trying to defend Obama’s broken promises.  There is no denying that his job performance is no better than Bush.  I am not a fan of either president.  Tonight there is some announcement of withdrawing troops from Afghanistan so I guess the trolls are out today trying to post comments on 1 or 2 year old blog posts that criticize Obama not bringing the troops home.

The truth is Obama did not bring the troops home from Iraq as promised. Instead, he has re-deployed them to Afghanistan.

Vj_day_kiss The truth is we would of had parades every month if he brought 1-2 brigades homes every month as he stated in many speeches (see start of youtube video at top). How many national parades have we had celebrating all the troops coming home from Iraq?  That’s right, it is hard to have parades for people simply redeployed to Afghanistan.

Even in this bad economy, people would have a better attitude seeing the war literally end like in world war 2.  The only thing we hear now is how many soldiers die in these purposeless wars.  They need to continue showing the caskets coming home to remind all Americans, we are now in 3 wars.

Seriously, this is just a political campaign for his re-election. He is trying to keep a promise that he already broke, so his opponents can not use it against him in his bid to run again in 2012.

We spend $10 billion a month just to fight the “war” in Afghanistan (see hulu video above). These 3 wars affect the health of our economy. Our resources are being funneled out of America for no purpose.

I am neither Democrat or Republican.  I am an Independent American.  I was never fooled by our government about false claims of  weapons of mass destruction.  I know the real purpose behind these wars are not for the protection of Americans but for the War Profiteers to make money.  Watch the documentary below if you want to know the truth. Being informed will help you understand the big picture.

WASHINGTON, May 26 (Reuters) – House lawmakers sent a clear warning to President Barack Obama about growing exhaustion over the war in Afghanistan on Thursday as they passed a defense policy bill authorizing $690 billion in military spending for the 2012 fiscal year.

Members of the House of Representatives made two attempts to force a change in Obama’s Afghan war strategy, falling just a few votes shy on one measure that would have required him to begin planning for a stepped-up withdrawal. A vote to bar U.S. troops on the ground in Libya passed nearly unanimously.

The votes came as the Republican-led House debated and passed the National Defense Authorization Act, 322-96, approving a $553 billion Pentagon base budget and $119 billion for overseas contingency operations, mainly the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. The remaining $18 billion is for military-related nuclear activity at the Department of Energy.

Look at the numbers I highlighted in the Reuters article. Remember that the official US deficit is about 15 trillion dollars. This Afghanistan bill will cost US taxpayers 690 billion dollars which is not that far away from 1 trillion dollars.  Since we have a budget deficit now, where will the money come from? No where, they keep adding these costs on to the deficit which is ballooning exponentially.

It is no coincidence that the federal deficit started under President Bush with the 2 wars.  And it isn’t getting better with President Obama starting a third war.  Tax increases and spending cuts in other parts of our budget will not solve the economic collapse we are headed since those do not deal with stopping the 3 wars.
