The android app I have downloaded called Mr. Number Call Block  simply does that. The reviews on it are great and I love using it on my LG Optimus V android cell phone. So if you get unwanted calls and/or text messages from telemarketers, collectors, stalkers, or calls for people who previously owned the phone, or people you just don’t want to speak with then download this program and put their numbers on the block list. It either sends it to your voicemail or picks up and hangs up on them. The choice is yours to customize in the options section.

I bring this app back up because lately the robot calls seemed to have increased on my phone.  They are soliciting mostly for health insurance or warranties.  Both are a waste of time for me.  These are no different than the spam you receive in your email box.  One thing I don’t like is that they trigger my voicemail and apparently are such long messages they lead into the voicemail.  I guess I will have to change my settings to somehow not have the voicemail even pick up.

Overall, I am happy with this free app Mr Number Call Block and still recommend it if you don’t have it.  You can also check to see what numbers have called and texted you that the free app has actually blocked.
