I have been grateful for my life for a long time. I wish I could say all my life, but that wouldn’t be true. I believe I am a positive person because I express all the things I am grateful for. Gratitude can make you positive and help you deal with the negative.
I looked back to see what I was grateful for in 2007. That seems like a long time ago, but that was the year I first started blogging and it is 4 years now now this month. After reading the post it made me realize how much things have really changed in my life. I would have to say all for the better.
Recently, I blogged about finding happiness by find gratitude. Again, these mental exercises keep me in a good place. I won’t profess to know how to teach others about being happy, but I know I can lead by example and I don’t mind sharing how I get into having an attitude of gratitude. Happiness is simply a state of mind.
Everyday I take time out to recognize what I have to be grateful for. Simply known as counting my blessings. I am sure we all do it but being consistent and meaning it is the most important thing about gratitude.
I am grateful because I met the love of my life and can spend everyday with her.
I am grateful because I have great health.
I am grateful because I am now a vegan and save animals’ lives and no longer support the industries that exploit and murder them.
I am grateful because I am enlightened on how to live a positive and happy life.
I am grateful that I have a roof over my head.
I am grateful that I have always been economical and drive a small and efficient high mpg car as gas prices continue its climb to $5 a gallon.
I am grateful that my mom is still alive and in good health.
I am grateful that I no longer care about what other people (family, friends, relatives and strangers) think of me.
I am grateful to be alive everyday while I reminisce some memories of family and friends who have passed away.
I am grateful that I could share all of this with you. Remember there are a million things we all can be grateful for and that it is best to focus on those things if we want to find real happiness. What are you grateful for my friend?
I have learned to love everything in my life and not take it for granted. So be happy today because tomorrow is not promised.
Thanks for stopping by and supporting me. Have an excellent day!
Cheers!
