I bought this Netgear WNDR3300 Dual Band Wireless N Router
a few weeks ago and wasn’t sure if it would make a difference. I figured if it didn’t then I could always return it. For some reason it took a long time to get it in the mail. My previous router is a Belkin “g” router which is also good but I notice sometimes it would bottleneck or I would have to reset it.
I am not sure if it was the router or my isp spying on me. Well, after having this router for a week both my wife and I notice that surfing is much more smoother and we haven’t had to reset the router yet. So this seems to indicate my Belkin router was the culprit.
I read the reviews and wanted a cheap “N” router and this fit the bill. Again, I wasn’t concerned about the range since I live in a small condo. The Belkin had good range. The only issue was having a constant good connection all the time. So, after a week I think it was the belkin router that was causing my bottlenecks.
Just in case you were wondering, we had a super long password to make the router connection secure so no one was stealing our bandwidth. I do think my isp does throttle my speeds still.
