Anyways, I was watching the show Live with Kelly and Jerry O’Connell was on there, so my wife and wondered what happened to him and his pick.  He chose Sarah Brice as his final one. They stayed together, then broke up, and then got together a second time, then eventually broke up in 2010.

The most recent update is Sarah Brice is newly engaged and pregnant.

Keeping it Reality:

It seems our reality stars are gradually taking over the media spotlight. Logging onto People.com, there are often more reality-related stories than stories about our regular celebs.

Our Bachelor/Bachelorette/Bachelor Pad trifecta alum couple, Peyton and Chris, will soon star in their own HGTV show. Going Yard will debut in the spring. With Chris and his landscaping team making over lucky recipients’ yards, fiancée Peyton will help plan a yard debut party.

Jillian’s season and Bachelor Pad 1 runner-up Kiptyn has been well taken care of by girlfriend Tenley, following his recent health scare. Severely ruptured discs in his neck were repaired with lengthy emergency spinal surgery, and Kiptyn is expected to make a full recovery.

Final One (or F1 as us nerdy Bach gurus refer to it) Sarah Brice, from Charlie O’Connell’s season, is newly engaged and pregnant with a boy. The less famous O’Connell brother and Sarah dated on and off in the years following their season’s live engagement, but could never seem to make it work. Obviously, she has moved on.

The new Bachelor Ben Flajnik is engaged and the spoiler is already out. According to one article I read Bachelor Ben has hooked up with Courtney Robertson.

Bachelorette Ashley Hebert may have broken Ben Flajnik‘s heart, but Ben found love again as The Bachelor. According to RealitySteve.com, Ben is engaged to Courtney Robertson.

Courtney received Ben’s final rose and proposal in Switzerland on Nov. 16, Reality Steve reports. Lindsey Cox was the runner up.

Out of the final four women — Lindsey, Courtney, Kacie Boguskie and Nicki Sterling — Kacie was sent home during the hometown dates. Nicky got eliminated after the overnight dates.

Courtney, 28, is a professional model that lives in Santa Monica, Calif. She was on the cover of Fitness magazine in April. She is originally from Scottsdale, Ariz.

“I’m a hopeless romantic,” Courtney says on her ABC bio page. “Love is my religion. I’m in love with love. All I want is to find the right guy and love him forever.”

Courtney describes her ideal mate, a.k.a. Ben, as “warm, caring, amazing, sense of humor, flirty, genuine, keeps me on my toes, sensitive and has depth.”

She played “almost every sport growing up” — and considers Christmas her favorite holiday.

“One year I got the puppy I wanted and my sister got a kitten,” Courtney recalls. “My parents made the holidays very special for us. I probably believed in Santa for way too long.”

Start filling out your applications, boys! Emily Maynard, a fan favorite from Brad Womack’s season of “The Bachelor,” will be the next “Bachelorette,” ABC officially announced today on “Good Morning America.”
“I think she’s America’s sweetheart and I think it will be a home run,” host Chris Harrison said on “GMA.”
Maynard, a single mom from Charlotte, N.C. who ended her tumultuous relationship with Womack, 38, last summer, has signed on to star in the eighth installment of the hit reality show, which will premiere this spring. She will be the first single mom to star in the series.
“Emily feels incredibly grateful to have found her first love when she was very young, and despite not having dated a lot, knows what it’s like to be truly in love,” ABC said in a press release today. “In the past seven years, she has been looking for someone with the same spark she has for life, and she believes that she will find her soul mate on ‘The Bachelorette.’”
Twenty-five-year-old Marynard quickly won over Womack and fans of the show with her southern charm and emotional back story. Maynard lost her fiancé NASCAR driver Ricky Hendrick in a 2004 plane crash, just before she learned that she was pregnant. Their daughter Ricki, now 6, was born in October 2005 and is the “apple of Emily’s eye.”
On the show, Womack wooed Maynard and then proposed to her in true “Bachelor” style, in the fairytale setting of a South African vineyard. Off camera, their romance quickly unraveled, plagued by distance and jealously according to tabloid reports.
“The day that Brad proposed was one of the happiest days of my life,” she told “Bachelor” host Chris Harrison in a July 2011 interview on the breakup. “Not a day will go by that I won’t regret how things turned out.”
Soon a new crop of 25 men will contend for the blonde beauty’s heart, and the competition could be cutthroat, given the buzz surrounding Maynard. (Remember that season 7 contestant Bentley Williams admitted that he’d been disappointed to learn that Ashley Hebert was “The Bachelotte” instead of Maynard, so we know interest is high).
Maynard is “looking for someone who makes her laugh, doesn’t take himself too seriously and can be her best friend,” ABC said in the press release. “Emily is hoping that the third time is the charm.”

Hello Park City, Utah! After a crazy week in beautiful San Francisco it was nice to get back to the great outdoors for some fishing, horseback riding and helicopters!

I’ve heard from friends of mine that we needed to get back to The Bachelor days of old, which includes lots of helicopter dates. So, to my friends … mission accomplished! Now lets discuss the incredible women I am lucky enough to be on this journey with.

I really wanted my date with Rachel to go well. The first night I met her in L.A., we clicked. Seeing her step out of the limo in her red dress I thought to myself, “Wow, this girl is gorgeous,” but after chatting with her inside I realized she was more than just a pretty woman. Rachel always stands out on the group dates (I asked her to accept the group date rose last week!), so I was really hoping we would have amazing chemistry on this date as well.

Unfortunately that wasn’t the case. While it fortunately didn’t feel as awkward in the moment, it definitely looked awkward. Even given the majestic surroundings of Park City, and one of the most beautiful lakes I have ever seen, we couldn’t help some of the silent moments we encountered together on our first one-on-one date. Sometimes first dates don’t go as smoothly as you would hope.

We did talk about her family a lot that day though, and I felt like I had a good sense of who she was as a person. Rachel is a sweet woman with the best of intentions and I reminded myself that sometimes it takes more than a “moment” to get to know someone, so I was happy Rachel accepted the rose so we can give our relationship more time.

The group date was hands down my favorite group date of the entire season. My Dad and Grandpa were both huge fisherman and I really channeled a lot of my childhood in that day. It was great to share that with some of the women, and I think it brought us closer. I felt like they got to see a different side of me, and I loved seeing all these gorgeous women so excited to put on waders and fly fish!

One thing I was completely oblivious to was Courtney causing such a stir with the other women. I thought that she was just making the most of her moments with me.

It’s really hard to not let your mind get caught up in “Do I really know that this person is being sincere?” so I tried to give everyone the benefit of the doubt. I tried not to go into this experience with the fear that I was getting played, but I will say that if I let myself go there, it’s a common fear in any relationship. Am I seeing the real side to this person?

I will say that I appreciated the women who took a risk to come out of their shell and spend more time with me on group dates and not sit back and let other women take charge. I felt like I furthered a number of relationships that day.

This edit of Courtney is pretty bad.  At least the show makes her look like a bad person.  I don’t really believe the stuff I see and I know most of it is scripted and stage.  This is all done for ratings and strictly for entertainment value.   Most of these TV relationships have failed so I would be surprised if this one works, but who knows.

• On his reaction to seeing Monica flirt with Blakeley while watching the season premiere: “Sheer shock, actually. I don’t know how far that went. I don’t know if the cameras stopped rolling and there was more that went down, or if that was the extent of it, or if it plays out through the rest of the season. I don’t know.”
• On what he liked about Courtney: “What I liked about Courtney that first evening was she’s traveled the world and she’s got some worldly experience. I always look for someone who’s relatively cultured and a little bit artsy. I play the piano and I’m a winemaker. My sister’s an artist. So we’re a very artsy family. Courtney’s profession, modeling, is relatively artsy. I had my doubts about her that first night. Great, she’s a model. Like everybody, the immediate reaction to hearing this person’s a model, you’re like, ‘Oh boy.’ But in my conversations with her, she helped put that at ease that first night.”
• On watching the promo for the season and seeing how Courtney behaves with the other women: “That’s hard to watch because throughout the season, people were open and honest with me, Courtney included. So a lot of the stuff that the women were seeing, I was hearing about on my own. It’s not something that comes as a huge shock to me, because the women let me know that these things were going on.”
• On the woman from his past who returns: “I will tell you when that woman comes into the picture, she really stirs the pot and it makes for probably the most intense evening you will ever see in the show’s history. [Laughs] It’s crazy. There’s more than just lots and lots of crying. There’s a woman who faints, there are the glares from the other women that are just brutal. [Laughs] I’m not gonna disclose too much because it’s just a crazy, crazy, night.” So it causes issues for him with the women on the show, in other words? “Lot of them,” he says, laughing again. “That’s why it was such a tough evening.”
• On how much control he really has over the dates: “I do [write] the date cards, and I have a lot of input into what the date is going to be, and I absolutely pick who is going to be on that date. I’m able to pick and choose the women I feel like I’ll get the best experience with on that date. I think that’s the most important part, more so than planning the whole thing. [Laughs] It takes a lot to do those kind of things.”
