Update Bachelorette Jillian Harris & Ed Swiderski split

I am getting many hits looking for this update on my blog. Even though I have given up watching the show after realizing it is fake with pre-determined endings, I wanted to give an update on the couple we knew would eventually break up. Are these relationships even real, or are they paid to stay together for x amount of months after the show?

Is there something in The Bachelor water?

Just two weeks after Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi announced they were separating, former Bachelorette star Jillian Harris and fiancé Ed Swiderski are taking a break, PEOPLE has learned.

According to a source at ABC, the two “are taking some time apart to re-evaluate their relationship.”

The couple, who got engaged May 2009 on the ABC reality show and settled down together in Swiderski’s one-bedroom Chicago condo in September, had previously discussed having a 2010 wedding.

“It feels more normal than any relationship I’ve ever had,” Harris told PEOPLE three months after the computer software consultant proposed in Hawaii. “When we’re together it’s very real.”

But their engagement hasn’t been without its ups and downs.

In August, they weathered rumors about Swiderski’s alleged infidelity when two women claimed he had been stringing both of them along while filming The Bachelorette.

I don’t watch the Bachelor or Bachelorette anymore because they have transformed into sham reality shows with pre-determined outcomes. Most of the contestants expose themselves as media whores. Anyways, Bachelor Jake and his pick Vienna are no longer together. Now, Vienna is looking for a $250,000 payday from Playboy.

UPDATE: Vienna’s announcement comes as a surprise to Playboy.

“This is the first we’ve heard of Vienna Girardi appearing on the cover of Playboy,” a rep for the magazine told Us Weekly. “We are not in negotiations with her and have not made her an offer.”

PREVIOUSLY: Vienna Girardi has posed topless and been snapped with her face deep in a man’s crotch, and now we may get to see her nude.

“I am going to be on the cover of Playboy later this year,” Vienna tells Star. “The Bachelor didn’t pay me a dime, and I ran through my savings living with Jake. I need the money. And I want to do something fun and happy for myself!”

Vienna’s story conflicts with that of a friend of Jake’s who said she fleeced him out of thousands of dollars as he paid for everything during their brief engagement.

Vienna hopes to get a $250,000 payday from her shoot, according to Star, which probably means she plans on taking everything off.

I have given up watching both the Bachelor and Bachelorette shows. The shows have dramatically changed from when I first started watching them many years ago. This last Bachelor show was too contrived with a predetermined storyline. The last few seasons, Reality Steve has been able to tell us in advance what would happen next. On top of that, he would explain the patterns of why the show does what it does which is simply to get the best ratings. Chris Harrison has become a tiresome host with his fake smile and staged personality. I still remember him from the home and garden channel.

Anyways, just an update on Bachelor Jake and Vienna that I read today. They are done and over as many had predicted.

Bachelor Jake Pavelka is confirming the news about his romance with Vienna Girardi: “We’re split.”

Caught at an Los Angeles airport by TMZ cameras, Jake didn’t really want to talk, but he was cordial. When asked what happened, he said, “It’s kind of a long story.”

As for who broke up with whom, he said, “It doesn’t really matter. I’m just saddened by the whole thing, but sometimes love just isn’t enough in a relationship.”

But he added, “No matter what happens, Vienna and I will be friends.”

Meanwhile, Vienna has written via Twitter: “The accusations of me cheating are completely fabricated. 100% False

17,000 hits, twitter, free sandwich (Jacks) and pancakes (IHOP 2.23.2010)

Last Monday, I received about 17,000 hits to my blog. That was my best day. It happens every Monday when the Bachelor and Bachelorette shows air. I posted the spoiler from Reality Steve and I continue to get hits from that and previous seasons. Reading the comments, I think many people are getting sick of the way these reality shows end. It seems like every season, the producers have to concoct some new event to lure in more viewers. The problem they don’t recognize is that they are losing many of their loyal viewers who enjoyed the show without all the hyped-up-and-made-up scenarios.

I signed up for twitter yesterday. My wife sent me a link that shows the best of the twitters and some were really funny. That pushed me off the fence. I am following two people right now and we will see if this keeps my interest. The other site Facebook I am still on the fence. Twitter was extremely easy to sign up and you can remain anonymous. So I used my CHESSNOID name to sign up.
