In the past, that would bother me because it does take some work to get traffic to come in to my blog. Today, I put it all in perspective and remember that the blog is really just for me to share and post my thoughts. So it doesn’t even matter if I get only 10 visits a day. Considering there are a billion blogs out there, I know I am lucky to get the little traffic I do get.

I am still getting many hits for my gadget posts, so that keeps me motivated on posting about those items. I even get hits on my older posts on the economy, credit cards, etc. Apparently, over time you start to get hits on everything you blog about. I think that in itself motivated me to keep blogging.

I recently applied for different advertisers and I assume based on the traffic I receive now vs before, they have approved me. So in the next few weeks, I will probably change up the adverts on my blog. Hopefully, they will be things more useful to you.

My mom is still in town and I got to spend some time with her.  We had fun and had lunch at the Filipino place again. We took some back to the hotel for her to eat later tonight.

Recently I started doing things I haven’t done in awhile.  I started playing poker online, chess online, and updown online again.  They are all different levels and types of competition but for some reason I am getting back into them.

My wife has been helping me beautify my other blogs.  The designs are much better now. Fortunately for me she is into design  and enjoys doing those things.  I make sure to post at least once a month on all my blogs and my goal is to increase the frequency to once a week.  With certain blogs it is easier to post everyday.  I love movies and so that particular movies blog doesn’t get neglected.

This blog of random noid musings is also easy to post on everyday since it is just for personal enjoyment.  Many bloggers spend alot of time focusing on making money so they put in alot of effort but see very little monetary reward for it.  This of course leads them to eventually quit.  When you read blogs that focus strictly on making money, that eventually becomes boring to read.  On top of that it is not really about blogging anymore but on creating a source of income.  I have a friend who does make a living online and based on what he tells me it is time consuming and a lot of hard work.

I have done my taxes but haven’t finalized it yet.  There seems to be a couple of pieces of paper I need to locate.  However, what I see so far I don’t like.  I owe money to the IRS and it looks like I will have to go on their payment plan.  The good news is I will be contributing to the funding of free healthcare for everyone.

This is the first year I received a 1099 for blogging income.  Hopefully, I will be able to continue to do this long term.  I love to blog and generating some income from it is just a bonus.  Thanks for coming by and supporting me.  I appreciate it.

I haven’t blogged on my movie blog for a few weeks now, but I have been watching movies everyday.  I think after the Oscars ended, it didn’t seem as fun to write about the movies.  I will get back to it soon.  My wife and I were looking at our netflix queue and realized we have watched most of the movies in the queue.  I don’t think we have done that in a long time.

I mentioned I signed up for twitter and today I got an email someone is following me. Very odd considering I have never even tweeted.  I thought maybe I knew this person, but she probably followed me because of my snoopy picture.  The tweets I have read were very humorous from the site my wife originally sent me.  The people I am following so far haven’t really put anything up that makes me laugh or inspire me.  If I get a few more followers, I might have to send some twitters out.

I have been considering making more sites for money making purposes.  I never would of thought I could make money online.  You read about all these other people doing it, but they are all selling something.  I don’t really have anything to pitch. Instead I blog and the advertisers I just pay me for he visitors who click on their ads.  I did make a few hundred dollars from a site called project payday.  After a few weeks, I didn’t get to step 2 on my project payday money making opportunities.  That is the place where I think you make the most money but it is also the most competitive area of project payday.  Step 1 where you make some easy money is good, but you must stay organized and make sure you cancel offers you do not want to follow through on otherwise you will get credit card charges you won’t like.
