I have loaned out over 400 ebooks via Amazon. I now have a collection of over 1,000 ebooks on my kindle app for windows. All the books I have are free and kind of work the same way as the Amazon free paid android app for the day. You can get the Top Free 100 Amazon paid books for the day and the choices change hourly. That doesn’t it is 100 different books every hour, but some jump in and out of the top 100. Click on the link to check it out.
These are not just the classics but all types of books you would normally pay money for. One day you download them for free, then the next day they are back to their normal price ranging form 99 cents to 90 dollars. If you enjoy reading or just like books and can’t afford to buy a library of them, then this is the way to go. The great thing is virtual books take up no space in your home and you have access to them all the time. You can read them online in the Amazon cloud or download them into your hard drive. You don’t need a tablet either just access to a computer.
The part about loaning books out is an ebook exchange program I joined called Ebookfling. Amazon allows certain books to be lent out up to 14 days based on whether the publisher allows it or not. Once you do loan it out, it comes back automatically to you. There are no fees involved and no chasing people down to get your books back. It is all automatic. I joined because I like helping others out and I like the idea of having more access to virtual ebooks that I don’t have to pay for and not necessarily free on Amazon.

First of all, I don’t have a kindle tablet like the kindle fire. I don’t even have a tablet, but I am working on it and waiting for the right one to come along. However, my wife does have the apple ipad 64GB and she reads a ton of books. She discovered that amazon gives away the top 100 books for free. Here is the link: Free Kindle books

So I decided to get the kindle app on my computer and on my android phone. Both work fine, but the phone is too small for me. I have over 600 books from amazon mostly kept in the cloud server, but I have about 100 downloaded into my laptop. I have read 2 books so far and really want to get a tablet soon because they are great reading devices. I know that because my wife enjoys reading books on her ipad.

When I was young in grade school, I remember ordering 1 or 2 books through school and would wait for about a month or two before they were delivered. The feeling was excitement when they finally came in and the teacher distributed them out. Brand new books with pictures in them about everything kids like to imagine about. I remember reading them all in a day.

In high school, I would frequent the library everyday. Yes, I was a complete nerd and book smart. I liked the idea of checking out books 4 or 5 at a time for 2 weeks. I just didn’t like returning them because I wanted my own little library. I would even frequent the public library and read there on weekends. This was on top of the comic books I read every week.

I think it was in college when I lost interest in books. They became books I had to read and not enjoy. Don’t get me wrong, I still like books but became burnt out when I was taking classes concurrently at Cerritos College and Woodbury University. It was a lot of text book reading and tons of memorizing for many exams. That is how I was able to finish my education in less than 3 years in 2 degree programs. I was a stud nerd and had an aptitude for short term memorization for test taking which allowed me to graduate with honors.

Since my college days, I have not wanted to read books. However, now that I have discovered you can have a virtual library in your computer or tablet, my interest has piqued. I have read two business type books for my enjoyment vs a requirement for some class. I liked being able to learn for my own edification and think I will try to read more books now.

Don’t worry, out of the 600+ books I have purchased for free, I have loaned them out through Ebook Fling. I would say about 321 books to be exact. If you like books, you should join because it is free ebooks.

It’s funny the last comment made me reminisce about my school days at Woodbury University. It has been over twenty years since I graduated, but I remember it like yesterday. Thanks for stopping by and have an excellent day.

I don’t do a lot of reading of books anymore, although I still do read. Recently, I have been using my kindle app on my laptop and have been impressed with what is available for free. I had the idea of borrowing books like borrowing CDs and wondered if there was a site that let you swap digital media. Sure enough there was a site that allowed you to lend kindle and nook books to each other for FREE. The site is Ebook Fling and it costs nothing to sign up.

I have and still belong to sites like swap.com to basically try to recycle things as well as to get rid of stuff. However, this lending e-books to others is cool. You have to remember these books have DRMs on them so not all ebooks you buy can be lent out. It just depends on the publishers. Nevertheless, for the books that are available to be lent out, this is a great way to exchange books for free.

If you like reading books, check out Ebook Fling where I have over 300 kindle books I uploaded to be lent out. For some reason I do find it satisfying to give or lend my ebooks for 14 days to others for free. Unlike the swap or other sites, there is no packing, shipping or mailing. This is very cool and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. So far in the first 3 days I have signed up, I have loaned out 38 books. Cheers!

for only $50 with free shipping is a phenomal deal. You can carry a ton of information with this gadget in your pocket.

They make some android tablets and apple ipads with less memory than this. So that shows you how big this usb drive is. I saw this from slickdeals on the frontpage. Hopefully, they don’t sell out before you get yours.

Again, these are just videos I am getting via email. Some of them are worth looking at. These are Coby android tablets with the ice cream sandwich operating systems. For the money, you get a great value. I measure this with the hardware that it comes with plus the software added on top. I am getting motivated to buy a new tablet and hope these hit the market soon.

Coby does have tablets out already on the market and they are the low end variety but the prices are below $100. I imagine they will drop even more when the new ones hit the market. Remember, these have lower hardware specs and the older android o/s.

I mentioned earlier I am getting a ton of videos via email because of the Las Vegas CES show. It is cool watching all the tablets coming out. One thing I think you can see is that the price of higher spec tablets will be coming out at extremely low prices. This 3d android tablet needs no 3d glasses and can be had in the near future for under $200.

I am hoping some of these tablets come out next month because my Staples Rewards expire soon. If not I might get a Kindle Fire Tablet and install ICS myself.

Yeah, yeah, I know it’s hard to film a 3D tablet with a 2D camera.. but here’s the deal. It actually looks pretty good if you look at it from exactly the right angle. If not, it looks like crap. There’s also probably not much 3D content available. But it’s cheap. The manufacturer is selling units of 1000 for as little as $130 each, which means it could conceivably hit the streets for under $200.

I don’t watch most of what I get because they don’t seem interesting or just redundant information. This week, there are a lot of bloggers going out to the Las Vegas CES show and posting all the new gadgets coming out. It looks very promising for us consumers.

There will be a lot of higher advanced tech at a lower cost. Tons of tablets coming out in the next coming months with the new ICS android 4.0 operating system will be great. Here is an example of the eFun Nextbook Android 4.0 tablets that starts out at only $129 for the 7 inch version. I am not sure what the guy in the video says for the 10 inch version. Either way, all these gadgets are better than the tablets that came out a year ago for $500 and only a third of the cost. Technology makes everything cheaper it seems.

I think I literally got about 20 tablet videos from this guy. I watched all of his because he is straight to the point on what the specs and prices are. This one seemed pretty good.
