I was hoping when we finally got rid of Bush that anyone else would be better. Someone would end the wars, stop the bailouts, and basically do the opposite of whatever Bush did. Unfortunately, Obama was voted in and continued the wars, the bailouts, and the same policies as his predecessor. That is why we are in this ugly mess we call call our economy.

If you still think he is doing a great job, then you are both ignorant and crazy.

I have been aware that main stream media constantly ignores Ron Paul, the politician with common sense. He is one of the few who would really end the multiple wars we are engaged in (we are still in 3 wars under Obama). He would also stop the unsustainable deficit spending that is causing our credit rating to drop and recently downgraded by S&P. So it is nice to see the political comedian recognize this mystery of why Ron Paul is ignored.

Armadebtdon: 2 days till default

The House of Representatives passed a bill to raise the debt ceiling and the Senate killed it. That bill was dead on arrival. Then the Senate passed a bill to raise the debt ceiling, and in turn the the House of Reps killed it and it too was dead on arrival.

It’s Sunday and that is the hot topic for the next two days. Do I think they will solve it and pass the bill to raise the debt ceiling? Yes, I do believe they will pass it. And even if they don’t, the US will not default on the federal debt. In that regard I am only speaking of the interest they have to pay on government obligations like US treasuries, bonds, and bills, etc.

The other items that have to be paid out such as social security, medicare, and unemployment might be delayed. And as far as the other things that must be paid out of the budget that we can’t afford will be the payment for the 2 wars (or is it 3 now), the entire military force, the federal government agencies like TSA and HS which were created under the Bush administration, and a whole lot of wasteful government projects that do nothing like the Federal Reserve except screw up our entire economy.

I think we should start cutting wasteful spending now. There is no need for half the government agencies that exist now. We all know that to be a fact. Maybe we should just start shutting them down now. I am against raising the limit because it represents money we spend that we don’t have. The bigger the debt grows, the bigger the future implosion will be.

What does the debt ceiling mean to you and me? For most of us it means nothing. Most banks aren’t approving loans so no need to worry about interest rates. Inflation has already hit us, and that is why the cost of gas, food and everything else is up. I don’t have money in the stock market and most middle income Americans have drained their savings.

At the 1:20 mark of the video, we see Geithner explaining the raising of the ceiling debt drop dead date starting would be march 31, then July 8, and finally to August 2.

Obama already had a chance to let the Bush taxes expire, but instead renewed them. This was 6 months ago and he could of increased tax revenues back then. FAIL!
