Holiday shopping

I have been watching gadgets go on sale all season long. There have been a few deals that were too good to pass up that allowed me to make a quick buck by flipping it on ebay. However, for personal shopping I have noticed that laptops have not been as cheap in the past.

The tablet prices are all over the place and can be had as low as $50. Of course, those will not be the fastest tablets out there. They are rather slow, but if you are using it just for surfing, emails and facebook, then it will probably be fine and meet your needs.

I am now wondering how good the sales will be after Christmas. I have been hitting staples and recycling my ink there and earning staple rewards. My goal is to get a free tablet or laptop by February. So far I am doing well. For November I have earned about $46 for recycling and buying the free batteries after rebate. December is only half way finished, so I have plenty of time to easily double that.

Best Buy had some VM Optimus V phones for sale this week for $62 and when I went to check on ebay and amazon, they were about the same price. So I passed on trying to buy and flip those because the fees would eat up any profit.

Boardwalk Empire Finale

It’s hard to believe this season of Boardwalk Empire is almost over. But then again it is only 12 episodes long. The pace of this series was very good this season up until the last episode. Jimmy was having too many flashbacks that were not edited in the storyline very well. I felt that they were trying to squeeze too much of his character building in one episode. They could have done this over a few episodes.

I do get a feeling that not only is he going down in the show, but that he may be killed or shot at the series finale. Nucky was already shot earlier and him being the main character, we already know Nucky won’t be killed off. Jimmy’s wife was shot and killed 2 episodes ago, and all of his cronies are turning against him. Jimmy’s biological father, the Commodore, also died in the last episode by his own hands.

I hope the finale ends well making me want to watch more or at least another season. Seems like I have less and less to watch on TV lately.

These video games are amazing in both graphics and game play. I remember my old pot head friends lining up for these games outside of BestBuy to get their copy. That is dedication.
